About our eye test

Our optometrists will examine your eyes to detect defects in vision, signs of injury, ocular diseases or abnormality and problems with certain aspects of general health. Utilising some of the latest eye imaging and ophthalmic screening equipment out there helps our optometrist make sure all is done to provide the patient with a professional, multi faceted eye check that provides the highest level of accuracy and completeness, all to prevent any possible unnecessary deterioration of eye sight and ocular health. 

NHS

Some patients are eligible for an NHS funded eye test and a full or partial contribution towards the cost of their glasses prescribed by the optometrist. Such categories include under 16's, over 60 years of age, diabetics, certain people with a family history of glaucoma, as well as those receiving Income  Support, Family Credit, guarantee pension credit and other benefits. Our staff are always happy to advise about the NHS entitlement/eligibility.
